The Bible Says So…

How many times have you ever been told this: “You can’t do (insert action), because the Bible says so?” Well, I have heard this (or something similar to it) too many times before 😣

Being the recipient of these words of conviction often gave me constant and overwhelming feelings of condemnation and would leave me feeling like such a joke of a Christian ❌😇 #NoAngel. I would often think to myself: “Then what’s the point of continuing to pursue Christianity?” – but my initial encounter with God does not allow me to simply give Christianity up.

For me, choosing a to live and exist as a Christian is my reaction to God’s grace and mercy 🙌🏾

I have since decided to read as much of The Bible as I can, all with the intention of understanding it, and developing a strong spirit of discernment. So I have been doing some reading, and I would like to share my favourite Bible verses so far. I’m just sharing them, no preaching, no sermon. Just sharing ✔

  • “A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.” – Proverbs 15:1 NLT
  • “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” – Revelation 3:20 NLT
  • “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
  • “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” – Hebrews 13:5 NLT
  • “This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 NLT
